Illness Is Fatal To Mrs. O.R. Blass.

Mrs. Julia Ann Blass, 75, wife of O.R. Blass, died at 3 o'clock Sunday morning at her home on route 1. She had been in failing health for several years, but critically ill only since Wednesday.

Mrs. Blass was born in Linn county, Missouri, July 29, 1868. She was married to Oliver Riley Blass in Syracuse, Kas., Sept. 2, 1886. She was a member of the Christian church for many years.

Surviving relatives include the husband; seven sons, Harry Blass, of Oklahoma City, Roy Blass of Albuquerque, New Mex., Ray Blass, route 4, Carl Blass, of Scott City, Kas., O.T. Blass of Ponca City, Orlando Blass, of the home and Eldon Blass of Canton, O.; three daughters, Mrs. Arvilla Woodard, route 2, Mrs. Izetta Beebe of Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Eleanor Agen of Canton, Ohio; 31 grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Two children Mrs. Zinnie Southern and Leonard Blass, preceded her in death. All the children are in Arkansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Central Christian church with the Rev. Edwin G. Michael officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview cemetery. The Grant Funeral Home is in charge.
