Graduated Washington Medical School Saint Louis, Missouri, practiced in Pueblo, Colorado.

They took care of me for a while after his sister-in-law Frances passed away, April 1928, removed my tonsils. I visited again in 1936, & 1946, and his widow in 1968. He enjoyed fishing & camping the streams near Lake City, Colorado, both unaware wife's. grandfather's (who attended their wedding) brothers "V P" & D R B Flora families early pioneers to the area, starting 1875, year before statehood.

    Dr Guy H Hopkins, husband of Harriette F Hopkins 3021 Eighth Ave, died at local hospital Thursday, Nov 10, 1966. Father of Mrs Harriette Hopkins Anglea, Northridge, Calif and Dr William G Hopkins, Pueblo. Grandfather of Sharon, Gayle, and Gregory Hopkins and Robert and Carolyn Anglea. Brother of Horace Hopkins, Swarthmore, Pa, and Roy Hopkins, St Louis, Mo. Member of the First Methodist Church where he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the Official Board and various other capacities during his long membership. He was also a member of Pueblo Lodge 17, AF&AM, Al Kaly Shrine, Southern Colorado Consistory, the Kiwanas Club, state and county medical societies and the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology and Veteran of World War I. Dr Hopkins had been a resident of Pueblo since 1921 where he practiced ophthalmology. Services will be in the chapel of Rouch Funeral Home 9:30 am, Saturday with the Rev Richard F Halbert, pastor of the Firs Methodist Church officiating. The family requests that those desire to make their remembrances to American Medical Association Educational and Research Fund, through the funeral home.

Dr Guy H Hopkins Succumbs at Hospital

    Dr Hopkins was a member of First Methodist Church and had served as chairman of the board of trustees and as president of the official boar. He was a member of AF&AM Lodge 17, here, Al Kaly Shrine, Southern Colorado Consistory, Kiwanis Club, state and county medical societies, and Ophthalmology. He was a veteran of World War I.

  Funeral services will be held in te Touch Funeral Home at 9:30 am with the Rev Richard E Halbert , pastor of First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.

    Dr Guy Hopkins, 71, who used his medical skills here for 45 years in the care of patients vision, died at a hospital Thursday morning. He was born in Alton, Ill, and moved to Pueblo from Missouri in 1921.

    Dr Hopkins leaves his widow, Mrs Harriette F Hopkins of the family home at 3021 Eighth Ave, a daughter,Mrs Harriette Hopkins Anglea of Northridge, Calif and a son Dr William G Hopkins of Pueblo and five grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Horace Hopkins, Swarthmore,Pa and Roy Hopkins of St Louis, Mo.
