George C. Allen, 532 South Cherry street died at the state institution at Osawatomie at 8 a.m. today. The body was brought here and is at the Lamb undertaking rooms. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Rev. J. Wood of Kansas City to officiate. The pallbearers will be D. F. Daniel, A. F. Haynes, Peston Flora, Dr. C. W., Hardy, J. M. Leeper, E. E. Pember. Burial will be at Kincaid.
Deceased was 55 years of age. He was born in Allen county and had been a resident of Ottawa many years. He is survived by the widow and a brother, Dr. A. A. Allen of Kansas City. Mr. Allen had been in ill health for a number of years. In January last he was taken to the asylum.
