Rites Friday for Fannie Calvert

Mrs. Fannie Calvert, 68, of 112 S. East Street, died at her home Tuesday night, following an illness of seven weeks. She was born in Hamilton county, August 1, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Owens, and moved to Pendleton 55 years ago. She was a member of the Pendleton E. U. B. Church. The body was taken to the Cornell Bright Funeral Home where friends will be received and where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in charge of the Rev. J. Clayton Stadler. Burial will be in the Grove Lawn Cemetery. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Pendleton; three sons, Earl Hensley, of Anderson; Paul Hensley of Pendleton; and Arlie Hensley of Middletown; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister, Dosha Pettigrew, of Pendleton; five brothers, Lewis Owens of Alexandria; Russell Owens of Anderson; Kenneth Owens, Everett Owens, and Ralph Owens, all of Pendleton.
