HENSLEY- Earl G. "Curly" Hensley, 79, Anderson, died Saturday, October 19, 1996, at St. John's Medical Center in Anderson. He was born March 19, 1917, in Anderson to Virgil and Fannie Mae (Owens) Hensley. He was a lifelong resident of Anderson. A tool and die maker, he retired in 1985 after 35 years of service at Anderson Tool & Engineering. He was a member of United Brethren Church in Pendleton and Moose Lodge 150. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy A. Hensley of Anderson; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Sarah Hensley, Earl J. and Betty Hensley, and Paul and Betty Hensley, all of Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Judith and John Keaton of Anderson; brother, Arlie Hensley of Middletown; sister, Myrtle Smith of Anderson; 18 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack E. Hensley; brother Paul Hensley; and grandson, Jimmy Scruggs. Services were conducted Tuesday, October 22, 1996 at Guilkey Funeral Home with the Rev. Guthrie Veech officiating. Burial followed at Huntsville cemetery.
