Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mrs. Elizabeth Pitts Hendrix.
She retired in 1964 as a weaver and cloth room inspector with Joanna Western Mills of Joanna. She was a member of the Old Timers Club and the Epworth United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Missions Society.
Surviving are a son, John E. “Billy” Willingham of Joanna; daughters, Mrs. Otis (Frances) Murphy of Greenwood and Mrs. Louis (Elizabeth) Murphy of Clinton.
Burial in Rosemont Cemetery of Newberry. Gray Funeral Home.
