Austin Troy Lackey Sr., 80, of Calico Rock

Austin Troy Lackey Sr. of Calico Rock died Monday (Sept. 14, 1992) at White River Health Care. He was 80.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Kirby Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Old Galatia Church, and burial will be at the Galatia Cemetery.

Mr. Lackey, a lifetime area resident, was born at Norfork on July 1, 1912. He worked as a river guide and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Mr. Lacked married the former Irene Tilley on May 12, 1937, at Arkana.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Jim Rosembaum and Frances Lackey, two daughters, Frances Lucy and Judy Lucy, and his wife, Irene.

He is survived by a son, Austin Troy Lackey Jr. of Gassville; five daughters, Maye McDonald of Heber Springs, Jessie Delaney of Jordan, Margaret Roberts of Rea Valley, Carol Haynes of Cotter and Linda Mitchell of Pocohontas; a brother, George Dickerson of Jordan; two sisters, Mary Jenkins of Jordan and Norma Horn of Old Joe; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
