George Worth Huffman
George Worth Huffman, age 68, died Monday, December 26 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 27 at Macedonia Church. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. Jack Inmon and Rev. Ron Burch officiating.
The son of the late George Lee Huffman and the late Geneva Thrasher Huffman, he was a retired farmer and also worked for Soil Conservation. He was a lifelong resident of Chickasaw County and was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Georgie Scott, Mrs. Geneva Rogers and Mrs. Gladys Smith, all of Houston, Mrs. Mary Griffin of Tupelo and Mrs. Ruby Crowley of Woodland; two sons, Willie Gene Huffman of Woodland and Bobby Lane Huffman of Houlka; one brother, Sammie Huffman of McCondy; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Huffman, Tommy Griffin, Wayne Huffman, James Lewis Huffman, Jamie Myers, Willie Lewis, William Harlen Griffin and Mike Boyce.
Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
