Funeral services for Wiley Estes, retired farmer and lifelong resident of the
Mooreville area, were held August 3, 1961 in the Boguefala Baptist Church.
Burial was in the church cemetery. He died on August 2 at Tupelo Community
Hospital of a heart attack which he suffered on August 1. He was 86.

Survivors included his wife, the former Miss Lydia Mullins, to whom he was
married on Dec. 1, 1901 in the Richmond Community; two daughters, Mrs. Jewel
Parham of Guntown and Miss Lavera Estes of Mooreville; two sons, Cleo Estes of
Shannon and Oneal Estes of Mooreville; a sister, Mrs. Mae Jones of Enterprise;
two brothers, Mannie Estes of Tupelo and Sam Estes of Childersburg, Ala.; 10
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
