Adah Ault, daughter of Judith (Westbrook) and John Ault, was born in Hot Spring County, Arkansas. She became the first wife of Mitchell Buttram (later spelled Buttrum) in March 1900 in Cedar Glades, Garland County, Arkansas. They had one child, John Adrian "Johnnie" Buttram, born April 10, 1901 in Garland County, Arkansas. Adah lived only three days after the baby's birth. The baby died about seven months later. Adah and her infant son are buried in the New Cedar Glades Cemetery, Garland County, Arkansas.
