Nathaniel Almon
Funeral services for Nathaniel Almon, 85, of 1319 15th Ave., Tuscaloosa, who died Saturday at DCH Regional Medical Center, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Moulton. Burial will be in Lawrence County, Moulton Memory Gardens, Elliott Funeral Home directing. Hayes Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Louise Almon, Tuscaloosa; two sons, Robert N. Almond, Tuscaloosa, and Judge Reneau P. Almon, Montgomery; a sister, Mrs. Merle Horton, Courtland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Almon served in Alabama school systems for 48 years. He was a football coach and principal for 20 years, and served as a superintendent of education for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War I.
