On November 11, 2009, surrounded by friends and family, Raymond E. Boatright was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a Navy Veteran serving aboard the USS Preserver.
His life was a testimony of his faith and love for the Lord. He had an extraordinary love for his family and friends.
Raymond was born September 6, 1934 in Metalton, Arkansas, the son of George Edgar and Orva Boatright. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Clark Dale Boatright.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marva Plumlee Boatright, one son, Randy Boatright of Springdale, and wife Lora, 2 grandchildren, Dustin Boatright of Arlington, Texas,and Haley Boatright of Springdale, one brother, Robert Boatright of Springdale, and wife Wanda, one nephew, Paul Boatright and wife Brooke, one niece Mary Sells and husband Jesse of Elkins and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m, at Sisco Funeral Home in Springdale.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m., at Robinson Avenue Christ of Christ in Springdale, with Harry Fitzgerald and Harry Ware officiating. Burial will follow at the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Milton Ball, Bill Ball, Richard Hutton, Ron Bowman Rodney Pless and Trent Arnold. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Paul Boatright and Carlos Baker.
