Mrs. Ida Fay is Taken by Death

Mrs. Ida (Rock) Fay, 76, died at the family home west of Lafayette on route 10 at 10 o'clock yesterday morning following an illness of over one year. She had been bedfast for the past week. Mrs. Fay was born June 9, 1859, in the same house in which she died and had always resided in this county.

Mrs. Fay was the daughter of James and Nancy (Coon) Rock and was married to James Fay on November 7, 1877. Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters: Mrs. Essie Duncan, of Waco, Texas, and Miss Valley Fay, at home: three sons, Charles O., of Detroit: Forrest, of Lafayette, and Alvin T., of West Lafeyette. She was a member of the Weaver Chapel U.B. church.

The body was removed to the Bradshaw funeral home and will be returned to the family residence Monday afternoon, when friends may call. It will again be taken to the funeral home Tuesday and funeral services will be held there Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. T. F. Williams in charge. Burial will take place in Rest Haven Memorial cemetery.
