Margaret Belle Simpkins was the daughter of Charles Edward Simpkins and his second wife Lula Belle Atkins of Catoosa, Oklahoma. Margaret served in the Canadian WAC in World War II. She was a civil servant for the United States, worked for the American, Arabian Oil Company and traveled the world during her many occupations. Margaret lived the majority of her life in (Manhattan) New York City. She died in 2000, and her ashes were spread in New York Harbor.

Margaret Belle Simpkins was the Grand Daughter of Charles Henry Simpkins and his wife Harriet Travis of Peekskill, New York State on her father's side, and the Grand Daughter of George Washington Atkins Jr. and his wife Hettie Belle (Coble) Atkins of Catoosa, Oklahoma on her mother's side of the family.

Margaret Belle Simpkins was a Montaukette Indian descendant of Long Island, New York, through her Great Grand Mother Martha Patty (Lent) Travis. Margaret's roll roll number was #515.

Margaret Simpkins is survived by her daughter Barbara Ellen Fricker and son-in-law James Fricker of Chouteau, Oklahoma.
