Lula Belle Atkins was the daughter of George Washington Atkins Jr. and his wife Hettie (Hester) Belle Coble.
Lula Belle Atkins was the Granddaughter of George Washington Atkins Sr. and his wife Leanna (Denbo)Atkins, on her father's side of the family and the Granddaughter of John Wesley Coble and Polly Ann Moser on her Mother's side of the family.

Lula was born in Catoosa, Indian Territory (Oklahoma). She married Charles Edward Simpkins on Oct. 19,1923 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Charles Edward Simpkins was the son of Charles Henry Simpkins and his wife Harriet Travis of Peekskill, New York.

Lula Belle (Atkins) Simpkins was an early day minister of a Holiness Church at Rascal Flats, Near Catoosa, Oklahoma at what is now the Port of Catoosa. The church services were held in the old wing school there at Rascal Flats.
