Willis [sic] C. Owens, 28, died at a local hospital early this morning from pneumonia. He had lived in Borger for several years and was connected with the Holt-Miller grocery. He was born in Oliver Springs, Texas, November 2, 1906.
Survivors are his wife and two children, Joan 3, and Billie Gene 2; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Brice F. Owens of Gorman; three brothers, Walter, J.L. and Dayle, all of Gorman; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Steward of Gorman, Miss May Owens of Borger, Mrs. Mozelle Steward of Toledo, and Mrs. Winnie Pearl Isabell of Gorman.
Funeral services will be tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock in the First Baptist Church with Rev. J.N. Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bob Lindsey, E. Miller, Marlon Rodgers, J.D. Williams, Jimmy Yows, and Charley White.
Carver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
