Services for James Lewis Owens, 43, were held at Rust Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Ray Hartline, pastor of East Cisco Baptist Church. Mr. Owens was killed two miles southwest of Mingus on the Davidson Cemetery Road. Edwards Funeral home in Strawn was in charge of transferring to Rust Funeral Home in Cisco. Mr. Owens moved to Cisco in 1963. He was employed by Capitol Aggregate Company in Eastland.
Survived by his wife - Marie Owens; four step-daughters - Mrs. Wayne Williams, Mrs. Bill Stewart, Mrs. Eddie Harding, Mrs. Jackie Brown; two brothers - Walter Owens, Doyle Owens; four sisters - Irene Stuart, Ann Bone, Mozelle Stuart, Winnie Beauchamp; nine grandchildren.
