North Augusta, SC—Funeral Services for Mr. William E. "Bill" Adams, 72, of Seymour Drive, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest November 8, 2009, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jerry Sealey officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Veterans Honors.

Mr. Adams was a native of Augusta, having made North Augusta his home for the past 41 years. He was a member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the Georgia Air National Guard, 165th Airlift Wing with 37 years of service. Mr. Adams was a retired Letter Carrier with the U.S. Post Office with 35 years of service, employed by Richmond County Georgia Extension Service, a Master Gardener, a 4-H Volunteer, member of the Augusta Camellia Society and the Aiken Hydrangea Society. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry C. and Ethel Dorn Adams, Sr.; a sister, Dorothy A. Pearson; three brothers, Henry C. Adams, Jr., Charles E. Adams and John A. Adams.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Brenda Harris Adams; three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Bob Glover, Joy and Pete Pack, Leslie and Thomas Timblin, all of North Augusta; two brothers and their wives, Bobby R. and Lorita Adams, Carl F. and Mary Adams, all of Augusta; two sisters, Hazel A. Hammock and Alice A. Mosley, both of Augusta; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Wehr, Kyle Glover, Ciara Timblin, Holly Timblin, Ashley Fulmer, Corrie Glover and Ryan Davis; six great grandchildren, Sterling Glover, Whitney Fulmer, Taylor Fulmer, Tucker Fulmer, Jaylen Davis and Keylen Davis; a great great grandchild, Aiden Rearden; a special friend, the late Granny Burke.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Master Gardeners. Active Pallbearers will be nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8. The family will be at the residence of Joy and Pete Pack, 114 Willow Run, North Augusta, SC.

Memorials may be made to the John De La Howe School, 192 Gettys Road, McCormick, SC 29835.
