Mrs. Dorothy Adams Pearson, age 85, died on Friday at Gentilly Gardens.

The Richmond County native had lived in Bulloch County since 1956.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women's Afternoon Circle, the Silver Lining Club, and a former member of the Bulloch County Homemakers Club. Mrs. Pearson was an avid gardener, craftswoman and seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Pearson.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law; Frank and Janiece Pearson, Jr. of Statesboro, and Ricky and Kathy Pearson of Statesboro; two grandsons Tony Pearson, and Royce Pearson, a granddaughter Susan Pearson and a step grandson Jason Raulerson; two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; four brothers John A. Adams, Bobby Adams, Billy Adams and Carl Adams; two sisters Hazel Hammock and Alice Mosley.

The visitation will be held on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.

The graveside funeral service and burial will be held on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, GA with Rev. Kathi Parchem officiating.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the High Hope Center 213 Simons Rd. Statesboro, GA 30458, or to the charity of donor's choice.

Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
