FARMER IN INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP MANY YEARS
WELL KNOWN IN CITY
Death from heart disease came to Jerome Mann, 68, well known Pontiac man at his home 38 Beech Street last night at 9 o'clock. He had been enjoying good health up to Wednesday night. Mr. Mann was for many years a farmer in Independence township where he was born October 29, 1855. He moved to Pontiac 15 years ago and had been employed several years as a clerk by Charles Cross___ and cartage business.
Mr. Mann leaves his widow and one son John of Independence township. Mrs. Mary Peterson of Pontiac and Mrs. Libbie Shappee of Clarkston are sisters and George Mann of Orion is a brother. The funeral will be held in the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. A. Eugene Hartlett officiating and with burial in the Sashabaw Plains Cemetery.
