George Washington Wolfe, 86, Ozark , died at 5:50 a.m. Monday in Ozark Nursing and Care Center.

George was born July 27, 1908 in Oden, Mo. the son of Lafayette Jefferson and Renal Myrtle Claxton Wolfe. He was a farmer, living in Ozark for many years, formerly of Kansas where he worked in the wheat fields , and in California, where he worked in the vinyards. He enjoyed making things of wood,.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Calvin, Henry, Jake and Harry. five sisters , Louise, Elva, and Agness Wolfe, Ethel Plunkett, and Jane Blanton, six half brothers , Marian, Dave, Adolphus, Martin, Charlie and Willie and one half sister Nancy Catherine.

Survivors include three brothers and their wives , Ernie, Ozark, Woodrow & Rita , Upland , Ca., Leon and Dorothy, Markham, Tx, two sisters-in-laws, Ruth Wolfe, Walnut Shade, and Vina Wolfe, Fresno, ca. several nieces and nephews, including Dixie Page and Sherry Clevenger, both of Ozark who have cared for George for many years.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Harris, a Cassity Heritage Funeral Home,burial followed in the Selmore Cemetery.
