Charles S. Atha, 69, died yesterday afternoon at the Veterans hospital in Wadsworth, Kan. Born in St. Joseph, he had spent the last 50 years in Agency, Mo. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Agency Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Charles S. Atha Jr., Faucett, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Stella Wheeler and Mrs. Narka Moore, both of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Anna Walker, Osborn, Mo., and Mrs. Rachel Pike, Pontiac, Mich., and a brother, Bill Atha, Lompoc, Cal.
Services will be at 3 Thursday afternoon at the Heaton-Bowman chapel, the Rev. Leonard Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Agency Cemetery, Agency, Mo.
