Celebration of Life services for Frances Halford, 97, of Dallas and formerly of Lubbock, will be held at 1 p.m. today in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Frances passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in Dallas.

Mary Frances Halford was born on Feb.9, 1912 in Whitney, Texas to the late George and Clara (Lee) Boswell. She graduated from Whitney High School and attended Hill Country Jr. College. She married the love of her life, Howard Halford, in 1934 in Whitney, Texas. She was a longtime member of Skyline Baptist Church. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, and a daughter, Linda Kay Thompson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Clara Jones and husband Al, Sue Bailey, Gay Bennett and Julia Halford; sons, Chris Halford and wife Barbara and Bud Halford and wife Kay; son-in-law, Jerry Thompson; brothers, Ed Boswell and Joe Boswell; sister, Dell Bonds; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
