Funeral services for Miss Armetta Bazar, who died at her home in Montgomery, January 9, 1953, were held in the Mars Hill Church on January 10, 1953 at 2 p.m. with interment in the Mars Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Green officiated at the service which was under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church. She was born September 18 [sic 17], 1874, in Winn Parish, being 78 years, 3 months, and 22 days old at the time of her death.

She is survived by three brothers, Alfred, William, and Peyton Bazar of Montgomery, and four sisters, Mrs. J. H. [sic J. B.] Moore, Natchitoches, Mrs. J. H. Lewis, and Elmy Walker, Montgomery, and Mrs. E. C. Hale, Abita Springs, La.
