Bonita Lou Missouri Jones, 69, of Hot Springs, died Monday, Dec. 25 (2006) in a local hospital.
The daughter of Walter and Lenora Cook Kirk was born October 17, 1937, in Boone County at home on Kirk Mountain. She was a member of the Virginia Clinton Kelly Women's League and attended the second Clinton Inaugural Ball. She was the recipient of the Harriett Carey award.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Jones of Hot Springs; three daughter and sons in law, Debra and Gary Koch of St. Charles, Mo., Johanna Breece and Nelson Stephens of Fredericksburg, Va., and Rhonda Breece and John Sita of Truxton, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Terri Rowan of St. Louis, Mo.; three stepsons, Dave jones of Imperial, Mo., Steve Jones and wife, Gayle, of St. Louis, Mo., and Kevin Jones and wife, Sandy, of St. Genevieve, Mo.; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Kent Butler of Russellville, Anna Williams of Hot Springs, Mrs. Charlie Hancock of Bentonville and Dorothy Moore of Harrison; two brothers, Walter Kirk of Hot Springs and John Kirk of Tulsa, Okla.
There will be no services.
Gross Funeral Home in Hot Springs is in charge of cremation. Memorials may be made to Bergman Mehtodist Church, 26 Shamrock, Harrison, Ark. 72601.
