Al worked for many years in the oil field along with farming, corn picking and custom combining. He went to work for Valenite in 1965 as an inspector and retired from there after 25 years of service. After his retirement he spent his time fishing, pecan picking and working on old cars. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita Bengfort of Lindsay, and their children, and his 2 sisters.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Joe and his wife Louise Bengfort, brother Florenze "Bimps" Bengfort, sister Margaret "Maggie" Bengfort, sister Geneve and her husband Walter Huchton, and brother in law Werner Yosten.
