SAMUEL ALEXANDER BINGAMAN

Samuel Alexander Bingaman, son of Christian and Amanda Bingaman, was born in Monroe county, Iowa, near Oakdale, November 3, 1859, and departed to his heavenly home on January 4, 1925, from the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 3 days.

He married Miss Mary Agan and to this union were born four children, Mrs. James Askren, Loren Bingaman and Mrs. Velta Olive Kincaid of Coal Glen. One child died in infancy.

He is survived by six brothers, Henry and John Wesley Bingaman of Oakdale; Daniel Bingaman of Indianola, Ia.; Rev. J. F. Bingaman of Griswold, Ia.; Isaac Bingaman of Oregon; Rev. Robert Bingaman of near Chariton; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Buzzard of Oregon and Miss Rachel Bingaman of Boone, Ia.; also by five grandchildren.

Brother Bingaman united with the Oakdale M.E. church when a boy, and remained a member until he moved to his late home and united with the Coal Glen church where he was an official member at the time of his death. He loved his Lord and Master and has gone to be with Him forevermore.

Funeral services were held at the Oakdale church at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. J. W. Holiday. Interment was in Oakdale cemetery.
