BREMERTON, Wash. -- Robert E. Peterson, 84, a resident of Bremerton, Wash., died Nov. 27, 2008, in Poulsbo, Wash. He was born March 28, 1924, in Brainerd, Minn., to Axel and Dagne (Jacobsen) Peterson. He graduated from Proviso Township High School and married Helen Wasserman on Dec. 18, 1941, in Forest Park, Ill. She preceded him in death in 2005.
He served in the Navy during WWII. He worked for the federal government as a contract specialist for 43 years, retiring in 1981 from Keyport NTS. He is survived by five children; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
