Jeanne Maidment, 73, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at University Hospitals She was born April 4, 1936 in Hillsdale, MI, the daughter of Roscoe and Sara Evelyn (Wolf) Bates. On August 28, 1965, she was married to Ray Maid-ment in Ypsilanti and he survives. Jeanne was a 1954 graduate of Ypsilanti High School and she obtained her Home Economics Degree from Eastern Michigan University. Jeanne attended the First United Methodist Church in Saline, where she sang in the choir. She worked as a floral designer at various florists in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti areas. In addition to her loving husband of 44 yrs, survivors include: two sons, David (Renee Swanton) Maid-ment and Eric Maidment, both of FL; one sister, Marva Jane (Calvin) Reimold of Ann Arbor; one brother, Chuck Bates of Howell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held 2:30 pm Monday, November 16, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church, 1200 N. Ann Arbor Rd, Saline. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the church, Huron Valley Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
