Age 92, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 in Austin, Texas after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, her family by her side. Marva Jane was born on May 8, 1930 in Hillsdale, Michigan. She was the eldest of three children born to Roscoe and S. Evelyn (Wolf) Bates.
Marva Jane attended Quincy High School prior to her family's move to Ypsilanti, where she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948. On September 12, 1959, she married Calvin Reimold, and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2014. They resided in Pittsfield Township, Ann Arbor, Michigan, for over 50 years. Marva Jane was employed by the University of Michigan for 13 years, retiring in 1991.
Marva Jane is survived by her two daughters, ...; her 4 grandchildren, ...; her brother-in-law, ..., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Chuck Bates; and her sister, Jeanne Maidment. In accordance with Marva Jane's wishes, no services will be held.
