Lucy Champion Richardson, third child and second dau. of Nathan Richardson and Phebe Crocker, b. of record at Coventry, Conn. Oct. 3, 1752. She apparently adopted the middle name Champion late in life, it being the maiden name of her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth (Champion) Crocker. Lucy d. at Pittsford, VT on Mar. 23, 1834, age 81 yrs. and 6 mos., while residing with the family of her daughter, Lucy Richardson (Robinson) Kingsley.

On Jan. 30, 1777 at Windham, Conn., Lucy m. Eliab Robinson, son of Peter Robinson, Jr. and Ruth Fuller of Windham. In the record of the marriage, Lucy is called "Lucy Richardson Williams." In the same original town records, the marriage of Lucy and Eliab Robinson and the birth of their children at Windham are in chronological order on the same page, written in compiled fashion after the fact. On Mar. 10, 1784 "Eliab Robinson of Windham" was appointed by the Windham Probate court as guardian of Dorcas and Oliver Williams, "Children of Oliver Williams of Lebanon late dec'd." Due to this guardianship it is possible that the Windham town clerk assumed that Eliab Robinson was the children's stepfather and attached, after the fact, the surname Williams to Lucy's name in the marriage record. However, Eliab Robinson's wife Lucy was not the mother of the aforementioned two Williams children and Lucy had no prior husband before her marriage to Eliab Robinson.
