MESA, Ariz. -- Ronald Gene Fletcher, age 73, of Emily and Mesa, Ariz., died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at the Banner Gardens Hospice House in Mesa. He was born on May 9, 1930, in Crosby to Golden and Etta (Wiener) Fletcher. He was a district manager of United Telephone retiring in 1989. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Dean Fletcher of Emily, Merl and Marge Fletcher of Randall; three daughters, Diane Nathe of Chandler, Ariz., Connie and Fabrizio Fedrizzi of Bettendorf, Iowa, Vickie Hanson of Brainerd; six brothers, Virl Fletcher, Gus Fletcher, Donald Fletcher, Robert Fletcher, Jerry Fletcher and Danny Fletcher, all of Emily; three sisters, Ila Stangel of Sorona, Mexico, Joyce Johnson of Post Falls, Idaho, and Linda Needham of Waterloo, Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Aileen, two infant siblings and a sister, Verla Mongan.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Emily Wesleyan Church. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby and an hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
