Decatur (Special) – Funeral services for William Robert (Bill) Alexander, 76, long time Decatur resident, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the First Methodist Church here.

The Rev. Raymond Corrigan, pastor, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. R. E. Bell, retired Baptist pastor. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with Christian Funeral Home in charge.

He was found dead at his home here about 11 p.m. Friday. He is believed to have suffered a heart attack. He had been in ill health for about a year.

Pallbearers will be Gene Brumell, R. T. Reiger, Roy Phillip, Ernest Gregg, H. B. Pearson, J. M. Gibbon, Claude Wells and Floyd Gentry.

Mr. Alexander was born south of Decatur and had lived in Wise county all of his life. He was in the real estate business for 25 years. He had previously worked in the Reiger Drygoods Store here.

He is a veteran of World War I. He was stationed overseas with the 90th Infantry Division.

Mr. Alexander is survived by three sisters. His wife died Sept. 23, 1962. Sisters are Mrs. Elizabeth Beall and Mrs. Bill Perrin, both of Decatur, and Mrs. G. V. Sears of Irving.
