Mrs. Mary Ann Morgan passes away-No funeral arrangements
Mrs. Mary Ann Morgan one of the oldest residents of the Lancaster community passed away Sunday afternoon at 1:50 pm. At the time of her death she was aged 77 years, 3 months and 21 days. The deceased was the daughter of Justice and Annie Gard. Mrs. Morgan is survived by two sons, Charles and John of Oklahoma and two daughters, Mrs. Fanny hays of Medicine Lodge, Kansas and Mrs. Lois Leipold, living north of Friendsville. Funeral services will be held from Nye Chapel and burial will be made in the Gard's Point Cemetery. The date of the funeral will depend upon the time of the arrival of the children from the west.

Mary A. Gard was born March 22nd 1836 and died July 13, 1913 age 77 years, 4 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Hiram Morgan December 18th, 1856. To this union were born five children. Julia, Charles, John, Fanny and Alice. All of whom are living except Alice.
Mary A. Morgan was the daughter of Justus Gard and Annie Gard. She leaves besides her children five sisters and two brothers, Babel(?) Gard of California, Phoebe Davis(?) of Portland Oregon, Adline Gibson of Wayne County, Illinois, Margaret Reel, Ellen Hallock, Mary J. Litherland and James Gard of this county.
Funeral services were held at Nye Chapel church, conducted by Rev. J.L. Miller of Friendsville, Ill. Pastor of the M.E. church. We the family and relations of Mary A. Morgan extend our many thanks to the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us in our time of need and trouble.
