OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - May 10, 1933

The death of Miss Mary Eliza McClure, 92, occurred at the Wabash county hospital Saturday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock as the result of a fractured hip received in a fall at her home several weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ford, west of the city, at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Fred Wolff, pastor of the Christian church, will officiate and burial will be in Falls cemetery.

Miss McClure was the last surviving grandchild of Samuel McClure, first white settler in Wabash county. She was born in Grant county, March 7, 1848 to John and Rhesa (Carter) McClure. She was one of a family of nine children.

With the exception of a number of years spent in Illinios, she has lived most of her life in Wabash county. She resided with her sister. Mrs. W. W. Ford, and in more recent years, lived in the home of her nephew, James Edwin Ford.

In her early life she became a member of the Christian church and has been a member of the Glenn Bible society since 1905.

She is survived by the following nieces and nephews; Mrs. Harvey West, Sidney, Ill.; Mrs. Alice Edmundson and Grace McClure of Fullerton, Neb.; William McClure and Oliver McClure of Colorado Springs, Colo., and J.E. Ford, Wabash. A number of grand nieces and nephews also survive.
