Services for Thurman W. Crain, 88, Tyler, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Nate Jackson officiating.

Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park.

Mr. Crain died Nov. 2, 2009, in Tyler. He was born Oct. 18, 1921, in Corsicana. He was a repairman for Southwestern Bell Telephone and a member of Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Avolois Crain of Tyler; son, William Keith Crain of Tyler; daughters, Karen Ann Harris and husband Douglas M. of Tyler, Deborah Kay Jessup and husband Jerald Jagade Jessup of Bullard; brother, James Earl Crain and wife Jeannine of Houston; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
