OBITUARY :
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Norris and Sons Funeral Home, Jonesboro, for James F. Halterman, 74, of Rt. 2, Anna Heights, Anna.

He died at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday at home.

He was a member of the American Legion; VFW, served in World War I and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Born Dec. 15, 1897, he was the son of Jacob and Clara Hileman Halterman. On Nov. 13, 1918 he married Loretta Brazill in Chicago. She preceded him in death July 30, 1971.

Surviving are his brothers, Jake of Chula Vista, Calif., Paul of Anna; sisters, Mrs. Ardella Griffith of Jonesboro, Mrs. Lucille Bierman of Ava, Mrs. Cula Milton of North Highland, Calif., Mrs. Eldora Fisher of Royalton and Mrs. Annabelle Kimbro of Citrus Ridge, Calif.; one step-sister,Mrs. Geneva Newman of Arnold, one step-brother, Gilbert Vick of Huntington Beach, Calif., two neices, Mrs. Myrna Carter of Anna, and Mrs. Rita Morgan of Kankakee, and two nephews, Loran Brazille of Kankakee and Glen Brazille of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.

The Rev. Peter Hsu of St. Mary's Church will officiate the ceremonies with burial in the Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. Rosary recitation will be 9 p.m. Friday.
