ROYALTON, Eleanora Louise (Halterman) Fisher, 85, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Friday, Aug., 17, 2007, in Herrin Hospital.
Eleanora was born Dec. 6, 1921, in Anna to Jacob and Cora (Beggs) Halterman.
She married Kenneth Albert Fisher on May 29, 1941, in Dongola. He preceded her in death Oct. 24, 2001.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Annabelle Kimbro of Sacramento, Calif; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and 11 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Fisher was a member of First Christian Church in Royalton. She was a retired seamstress from Smoller Brothers in Herrin and a homemaker. She was a member of Franklin County Farm Bureau and a very avid gardener and quilt maker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, in Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton, with Brother Bill Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Miners Cemetery east of Royalton. Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Fisher may be made to Royalton First Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
