Nellie was married to John Edgar Chappell on Sept. 16, 1917 at Chilton County, AL. Her parents were James Milford Woolley and Margaret Aurelia Garner. Nellie was born and grew-up in Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, which was east of the Cahaba River. That area at one time was part of Bibb County. She was the 11th and last child of her parents.

His other children are: Mattie O.Coolley, Emma D. Pill and Sallie C. Kemp, all of Birmingham, Tot I. Weldon, Ella L. Cox and Annie B. Williams of Chilton Co. and Woodrow G. Woolley, resident of Selma.

Note: Nellie kept many potted flowers on her large front porch and loved watering and tending to them in the spring and summer months.
