Mrs. Rebecca Fiscus, 97 years old, mother of Mrs. Sarah Forester and a sister of Sol Conder, 87, both of near Hurdland, died early Friday at the home of her son, S. Fiscus, north of Kirksville. She was probably the oldest resident of Adair County and had never been ill in the twenty-seven years she had made her home with her son, although she had been a cripple since 1882 when she fell and broke her hip. Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at the Mulberry Church with burial following at the church cemetery.
