Mother of William Harley and Helen "Nellie" (John R. Stephenson, Jr.)
GESS - Mrs. Anna M. Gess, 82, died Monday morning at the family home, 511 West Jefferson street, of a complication of diseases. She had been a sufferer for several years, Mr. Gess was a pioneer of the Boise valley. She came here in October, 1865. Her husband, Thomas B. Gess, died in 1910. Mrs. Gess was one of two surviving members of the First Christian church. A son, William H. Gess, Homedale, and two daughters, Mrs. Lulu B. Markt and Mrs. Nellie G. Stephenson, both of Boise, survive. The body is at Summers & Krebs' chapel awaiting funeral arrangements.
