Bill Ackart Rites Were Here Tuesday
Bill Ackart, 71, died Saturday in an Atlantic Hospital. He was a retired employee of the United Telephone Co. in Avoca.
Services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the west chapel of the United Church of Avoca with the Rev. LaVerne Kiel officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
Berthusen Knutson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his widow, Laura, two sons, Harold of Council Bluffs and Levi of Grundy Center; five daughters, Mrs. Larry L. Boeck of Shelby, Mrs. Gary Parker of Kanawha, Mrs. Leland Mikkelsen of Harlan, Mrs. Tom Parham of Atlantic, Mrs. Arlene Landon of Des Moines. Brother, Charles, of Sun City, Ariz., 31 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family requests that friends who wish to give memorials that they should be given to the Building Fund, United Church of Avoca.
