OBITUARY - Weekly Sentinel, Fort Wayne (IN) - Wednesday, July 22, 1908
Mrs. Julia B. Pettit, widow of the late Hon. John U. Pettit, of Wabash, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Bruner, of Akron, O., on Saturday eveening at 6 o'clock. Mrs. Pettit had been ill about three months.
Mrs. Pettit was a sister of Mrs. M.V.B. Spencer and Miss Helen Brenton of this city, and leaves two sons, Henry C. and Otto B. Pettit, of Wabash, and two daughters, Mrs. Lynn Daugherty of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Bruner of Akron. Mrs. Pettit lived in Fort Wayne during her girlhood and had many friends here.
The funeral was held Tuesday morning in Wabash at the residence of Henry C. Pettit.
