Pansy Kathryn Kanyak, 93, of Sebring, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was born at Euclid, July 9, 1901, a daughter of the late Robert J., Sr., and Lillie M. Mace Knotts. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church, Sebring. She had resided in Florida since 1965, moving there from Calhoun County.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Kanyak; two step-daughters, Marilyn Renn of Alton, Mich., and Delores Ovcen of Caseville, Mich.; two step-sons, Junior Kanyak of Fenten, Mich., and Donald Kanyak of Caseville; two brothers, Robert J. Knotts, Jr., of Grantsville and Walter A. Knotts of Massillon, Ohio; 19 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Alfred H. Baker; two sisters, Ruby L. (Mrs. Cecil ) Stremple and Daisy V. (Mrs. Dallas) Stump; and three brothers, William Bryan Knotts, Sr., Russell P. "Dubb" Knotts, and Henry E. Knotts.
Services were held at Morris Funeral Home, Sebring, with Pastor Chelsea Stockwell officiating and burial in Pinecrest Cemetery
