Mr. George W. Fulford died at the City Hospital Saturday afternoon at about three-thirty o'clock and was buried yesterday afternoon at four o'clock at Macedonia church near Meigs, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friend.
Mr. Fulford was struck by a Coast Line train while walking along the track near the station several weeks ago, and although the injuries were not particularly dangerous, complications resulted, which ultimately caused his death. He had been at the hospital for several weeks and many friends called on him during his illness and many little delightful attentions were shown him, making the time he spent there much more bearable that might have been otherwise.
The funeral services were held from the home of one of his sons near Meigs, Rev. Will Davis officiating. The body was taken from here Saturday night by his son, Mr. T. H. Fulford, with whom Mr. and Mrs. Fulford were making their home for the past six months. Mr. Fulford has been a resident of the Meigs section since infancy and was sixty-eight years of age. He had many warm friends, who knew and loved him, and who will regret exceedingly to learn of his death.
