Benjamin Franklin Fulford, Sr., 89, a long time resident of Pelham, died January 11th at the Mitchell County Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services were held January 12, at 3 p.m. at Braswell Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. William Perry officiating. Interment was held at the Meigs Cemetery with Masonic Rites conducted by Pelham Lodge No. 312 and Pelham H. A. M. No. 111.
Mr. Fulford was born in Thomas County, November 16, 1880, the son of the late George Washington and Alice Haire Fulford. He was married to the former Miss Pearl Curles. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham and was a retired saw filer.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Bill F. Fulford, Jr. of Pelham, C. G. Fulford of Ochlocknee and S. A. Fulford of Dayton Beach. His two daughters are Mrs. Frank Baker, Calhoun, Ga. and Mrs. Dannie Briles, Bakersfield, Calif.
10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren survive. His only brother is Herman Fulford of Macon. His surviving sisters are Mrs. Jim Bass and Mrs. Lonnie Bass of Pelham; Mrs. Lenora Fisher of Macon; Mrs. Jessie Miller of Rossville, Ga.
Masons were pallbearers. Braswell Funeral Home in charge.
