Born in Springtown, Texas the daughter of John and Ada (Sandlin) Heflin. She was the youngest of ten children.

She graduated from Blair High School in Oklahoma in 1924.
She married Raymond Bay on May 21, 1934. They founded Ann's Bakery in 1938. The bakery was moved to its present location at Admiral and Harvard in 1940. Ann's Bakery has been in continuous operation and is now managed by her daughter, Sharon Bay Pollock and her husband Mike. The bakery has specialized in wedding cakes and all items are made from scratch. Ann's Bakery was one of the main participants in the Tulsa Ballet Theatre Guild's "A Piece of Cake: Fund-Raising in the '90s" benefit for the Police and Fire Departments and the Tulsa Zoo.

Her husband, Raymond, preceded her in death in February of 1968. She was also preceded in death by her son, John R. Bay on April 19, 1993.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Wednesday evening at Ninde Whisenhunt Funeral Home, 2211 E. 6th Street. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday , July 20, 2006 at the Ninde Whisenhunt Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
