Greensboro, NC. - Jesse Wayne Hatcher, age 86, formerly of Floyd, passed away Sunday, May 16, 1999. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Hortense Hylton Hatcher, son, Curtis H. Hatcher, and brother, John Kenneth Hatcher.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Alonza Yeats, Patrick Springs, Mary and Randall Meadows, Eden, Nc.; Hazel and Bill Boone, Greensboro, NC.; David and Irene Hatcher, Douglas Hatcher, Douglas, Ga.; one brother Preston Hatcher, Floyd; three sisters, Vera Royal, Dobson, NC.;
Myrtle Deil, Twinsburg, Oh.; Ruth Bonanno, Fredricksburg; eight grandchildren, Warren Yates, Michael Yates, Deborah Ashburn, Sharon Atkins, Jeff Hatcher, Stacy Hatcher, Chad Meadows, Anthony Sonner, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Funeral service was held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 19, at the Mayberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Rev. Don Moody officiating. Burial in Topeco Cemetery.
