Daniel L. Lawson - New Miami
Daniel Lenix Lawson, 52, died suddenly at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at his residence, 31 Riverside Dr., in New Miami where he lived for the last three years.
He had been a resident of Middletown for 30 years before moving to New Miami where he owned and operated the Lawson Cafe. He was the eldest son of the late Rev. B.F. Lawson, pastor here. A former employee of Armco, he was an active member of the Eagles Lodge in Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Erma; one son, Carlton of Summers, Ind.; one brother, Fitch, of Middletown, and two sisters, Mrs. Reese Hughes of Middletown and Mrs. Thomas Long of Dayton.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today at the home of his sister, Mrs. Reese Hughes, 1910 Logan St.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the First Church of God with the Rev. Leland A. Forrest officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Jos. R. Baker and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
