Ray entered this life on February 1,1938 in Gilmore,Arkansas.Born to Jesse and Katie(pendergrass)Carey.Throughout his life he worked as an over the road truck driver.On July 1 1965 he was united in marriage to Sharon A.Young and together they shared 42 years of marriage.Ray is survived by his wife Sharon,two daughters,Misty(Carey) McNally and Wendy(Carey) Henady.Four sons,Rick Carey,Terry Dancer,Ronnie Dancer and Dustin Carey.Ray was preceded in death by his parents,Jesse and Katie Carey and two sons,Larry Ray Carey and Terry Allen Carey.
Ray departed this life on Monday,October 22 2007 at the St.John's medical center in Joplin,MO.with his family at his side.He walked daily with his lord and savior,Jesus Christ.He will be remembered for his strong faith and wisdom.He will be missed by his family and many,many friends.For those of us that knew him and understood his faith in God,we rejoice secure in the knowledge that when he closed his eyes for the last time in this life,he awoke to the glory of God,in heaven
